Big people have big dreams and small people have small dreams.
If you want to change who you are, then by begin by changing the size of your dream.

SMS Message From CA2020.com
Effective People are not problem-minded, they are opportunity-minded.
They feed opportunities and starve problems.
Do you see poverty as a problem or an opportunity?

The only difference between a rich person and a poor person is how they use their time. - Robert Kiyosaki
In equal financial situations, how do you think people who will be rich spend their time? How do you think people who will remain poor or middle class spend their time?

Our most difficult experiences become the crucibles that forge our character and develop the internal powers, the freedom to handle difficult circumstances in the future and to inspire others to do so as well.

Think of this...
Today there are millions of people who dream of quitting their jobs and becoming entrepreneurs, having their own businesses. The problem is, for most people, their dream is just a dream.
So the question is, why do so many fail to go for their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs?
What do you think?

The fear of being different prevents most people from seeking new ways to solve their problems. Many financial problems are caused by going along with the crowd and keeping up with others.

"It is your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped." - Anthony Robbins
3 Decisions that control your destiny are:
1.) Your decision about what to focus on
2. Your decision about what things mean to you
3.) Your decision about what to do to create results you desire

A Timeless Song
Sometimes, not often enough
We reflect upon the good things
And a thought always centers around those we love
And I think of all the people
Who means so much to me
And all the many years they have made me so very happy
And I count the times I have forgotten to say
Thank you and how much I love them
A song by the Carpenters with an eternal message, so far removed from the violence and hate and profanity heard in todays songs.

Nobility In the Philippines
Foreigners provide a different perspective about our country. I had an interesting talk with an American who said that we should look further down into history before we praise and admire prominent Filipino families.
He said, that families whom we consider to be nobility may have obtained their wealth from illicit behavior of their ancestors.
Stories in our history abound about families who are decendants of Spanish Friars, who bribed government officials into granting them large tracts of land, about scheming Indios who amassed great amounts of wealth and property.
Let us not forget the ill gotten wealth of notorious Filipinos in the past whose decendants are now benefitting from the moneys left by the previous generation.
Should we look-up to these families because they are wealthy? Or do we first examine the source of their wealth?

Appointment, Postponed!
It my car's number coding day - I can't be on the road today between 7am to 10am, and 3pm to 7pm. This is a vehicle reduction program meant to limit the number of vehicles plying the streets of the Metropolis thereby minimizing traffic.
I prepared to come to office early for my 7am meeting, the appointment was set since last night. I get to the office at 6:35am - with ample time before 7am. I sent a text message to the other party to say that I will expect them anytime soon, and all of a sudden...the other party (an American) replies to my text postponing the meeting.
I immediately sent a nasty sms message where I said, "So I had to rush to office for nothing! Thanks for ruining my day. Remember you requested for this meeting yesterday and we have confirmed it. Very disappointed!"
Well, I felt better after sending that text message. I now have a firm resolve not to let this spoil the rest of my day. I'm sure my day will turn out fine after all.

Seen Any Pine Trees Lately?
Our country is called the Philippines, named after King Philip of Spain and the tree species that abounded the land when foreigners first set foot in our motherland.
Yet, have you seen a pine tree lately?
What has happened? Where have all the pine trees gone?
Isn't it time that when we consider planting trees as an ecological project, that we planted pine trees?
For Metro Manilans today, if you want to see pine trees you have to go up north, to the mountain province of Benguet. To most who do not have the luxury of traveling such distance, when will they ever see a pine tree?
Let's plant pine trees now, unless we want our children to only see them in pictures.

Meeting with Mayor, A Success!
San Juan City Mayor Guia Gomez approved our request to do a Tree Planting Project in the City of San Juan. The City government will let us use a 3 hectare property along Santolan Avenue. She wants flowering trees to be planted instead of fruit bearing trees.
Now to find a source for the flowering tree seedlings.
Stay tuned, we are going places

Meeting with San Juan City Mayor
I will be meeting with the City Mayor of San Juan, Mayor Guia Gomez to discuss the projects of my Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of san Juan.
Part of the agenda is the Plant Trees Project, where the city government of San Juan will identify an area where we can plant trees. Based on initial talks, there is a three (3) hectare property that belongs to the city government where the Mayor would like to have trees planted. This is a good size for a first project.
Should this property be assigned to the Rotary Club of San Juan's Tree Planting Project, we now have to secure the seedlings from the supplier.
I will promote the planting of mango sedlings for this project.
Fruit bearing trees give fruit and serve its purpose in the environment by sucking up carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen.

FaceBook Cause Now Has 149 Members
As I write this, the cause that I started in FaceBook a week ago, Plant Trees Fight Global Warming now has 149 members - and it continues to grow everyday.
It is very encouraging because friends are inviting friends to join the cause.
I've found a way to put a Social Networking site like FaceBook to good use.
Isn't technology great!

Planting Trees, My Personal Advocacy
Last Saturday, I started a cause in FaceBook entitled, Plant Trees.
After 5 days, the cause now has 65 members and continues to grow everyday.
Friends who invite their friends to join the cause is very encouraging.
The cause is currently in recruitment mode - getting the first 100 members.
Once this is accomplished, we shall organize a Tree Planting Activity where each member contributes by actually planting a tree. Tree seedlings will be provided by Rotary Clubs in District 3800, while the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will identify the place where we can plant the trees.
The Philippines' neighbor, Indonesia, plants 200 million trees every year.
The Philippines should emulate Indonesia and do the same, plant several million trees every year.
This way we make a difference and reverse the effects of Global Warming.
Join us as we plant trees for our future.

Plant Trees, Fight Global Warming
Now you complain about the HEAT.
Next you will say there's TOO MUCH RAIN.
PLANT TREES and fight Global Warming.
NOW please, before it's too late.
All the other movements such as cutting back on the use of electricity, using the car less, and recycling, are all meant to minimize our carbon footprint.
Trees actually suck-up carbon dioxide and produce oxygen.
The earth needs more oxygen to reverse 'greenhouse' gasses, the major cause of Global Warming.
Let us plant trees for our children's future.
